Hessie Jones is a Writer, Strategist and Investor advocating for human-centred AI, education and the ethical distribution of AI in this era of transformation. She is the CEO and co-founder of Personally Identifiable Information Standards Architecture (PIISA), developing an open model to detect and remediate PII in AI models; she is also a co-founding member of MyData Canada.

 

In her work, she aims to advance the quality of human-computer experiences through values-based innovation prioritizing human-centred design. Hessie is also an advisor and innovations lead at Altitude Accelerator. She was highlighted in 2018 as one of the 100 Women in AI Ethics and is currently a board member. She is also a board member of Technology for Good Canada and a contributor/editor to GritDaily, Forbes, and a former editor for Towards Data Science.

Mark is the co-founder of vAIsual, a technology company pioneering algorithms and solutions to build legally clean, ethical generative AI. Milstein is also the technology chairman of the Digital Media Licensing Association (DMLA), and is a member of the IPTC metadata standards committee.

 

Milstein has been a featured speaker at numerous conferences and webinars talking about generative AI, synthetic media and AI ethics. Milstein founded Microstocksolutions LLC, the leading provider of DAM agnostic ingestion, curation/review, metadata, and visual asset management services for the visual media industry, the Fortune 500 and beyond. Milstein also founded of two of Central and Eastern Europe’s most respected photo agencies, Northfoto and Red Dot.

 

From 1991 through late 2000 Milstein covered more than 20 conflicts and major natural disasters as a photojournalist for Atlantic News Service.
